Thanks for visiting!
We hope you can find everything you need. Hilltop Gardens is focused on providing quality products and satisfaction - we will do everything we can to meet your expectations. With a variety of offerings to choose from, we are sure you will be happy working with us. Look around our website and if you have any comments or questions, please feel free to contact us. A few varieties will be added as we dig and photos will be added as time permits. We have five 2017 introductions from Hilltop Gardens along with two Amhurst intros from John Kreiner of Atlanta, GA. that we are offering for this season. Hopefully you can find one or two that will peak your interest.
Hilltop Kemper is the first that we are offering. It has proven itself since it was a 1st year seedling by going to the court of honor and ever year since has won higher awards. This season this variety scored in the Eastern and Great Smoky Mtn Trial Gardens along with being the achievement winner at the 2016 National Show with a score of 92.17. This 6-7" medium has good semi-cactus form with very good depth and vibrant color that makes it stand out in the garden. Named after our grandson who was drawn to it when he was less that a year old. The second variety we are releasing is a white medium 7" semi-cactus with a lavender blush along the bottom of the bloom. Hilltop Moonshine scored in the Eastern and Great Smoky Mtn trial gardens and also scored 87 on the bench at the 2016 National. It has won several higher awards at the shows. The next intro is Hilltop Mimi. We have grown this 8" yellow and dark pink informal decorative since 2006. With a vibrant color and robust plant all visitors to the garden gravitated to this bloom. Mimi scored in the Great Smoky Mtn and Eastern Trial gardens and has won higher awards in Michigan, New York and in the South. Mimi is what our clan named my mother-in-law when the grandchildren started coming along. HILLTOP MIMI HILLTOP MIMI
The last two varieties that Hilltop is offering came from the same seed pod in 2005. Dagwood is bronze and Blondie is a yellow on yellow color and both have good informal decorative form. Both varieties are 7-8" mediums with robust growth habits.

We are releasing two varieties out of Atlanta for John Kreiner. Both of them scored in the Smoky Mtn trial garden this season. Amhurst Kat is a 8" yellow medium growing on a robust plant. It could have possibly been scored as a large but grew more comfortably as a medium. This is a nice bloom in a very tough class. The next one is a 6" informal decorative dark pink and yellow bloom growing on a compact plant that is easy to manage named Amhurst Erica. Visitors were drawn to this dahlia in the trial garden and should be placed in the front of the garden as it grows less than 3' tall. Due to the growing season John and I only have limited stock of these two and we will only be offering them as plants only for this season. AMHURST KAT AMHURST ERICA
